Growth and gas exchange of corn under salt stress and nitrogen doses

ABSTRACT The excess of salts can affect several processes in the crops, and nitrogen (N) attenuate depressive effect salinity. objective was to evaluate influence doses on growth gas exchange corn crop irrigated with saline water. experiment conducted from June September 2019 at University International Integration Afro-Brazilian Lusophony, Redenção, CE, Brazil. experimental design completely randomized, a 2 x 3 factorial scheme (supply water 0.3 dS m-1 solution 3.0 m-1) three doses, 0, 80, 160 kg ha-1, corresponding 50, 100% recommended dose respectively, six repetitions. At 30 45 days after sowing (DAS), plant height, leaf area, number leaves, photosynthesis, transpiration, stomatal conductance were evaluated. Saline stress affects DAS. 80 ha-1 provide greater performance use low salinity more efficient terms N attenuates harmful effects AG 1051 hybrid maize plants, providing higher values DAS when m-1.
